Article I
Membership
1.1 Membership is open to anyone who is interested in this type of organization. Membership shall consist of the following classifications:
1. Individual - Held by an individual, employed in either the public or private sector, vested with voting rights, the right to hold elected office and all other privileges afforded by the Association.
2. Corporate - Held by a company, corporation, partnership or other private sector commerical organization. May include as many individuals as the organization designates, but voting rights are extended only to a single designee of the member organization. Only one individual included in a corporate membership is eligible to hold an elected office or board membership in the Association at any given time. All other privileges afforded by the Association are extended to all designated personnel of the member organization.
3. Continuing Education - Held by an individual employee of a private sector firm or political subdivision for the sole purpose of obtaining or continuing education credits for certification or the maintenance thereof. For an individual to be eligible for Continuing Education membership, at least one other individual from the member's employer must hold an Individual membership or his/her employer may not vote or hold elected office in the Association. Includes all other rights and privileges afforded by the Association.
1.2 The membership dues shall be as set forth hereunder, invoiced by the Treasurer on a form approved by the Board of Directors, prior to the beginning of the fiscal year, which is September 1 through August 31. Dues shall be paid no later than 90 days after the beginning of the fiscal year in order for the member to remain in good standing. At the discretion of the Board of Directors, complimentary individual memberships may be assigned.
1. Individual - $30.00 per year
2. Corporate - $60.00 per year
3. Continuing Education - $20 per individual per year
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the membership concurring, that this amendment shall become effective with the fiscal year beginning September 1, 2001.
